We, the members and friends of First Christian Church of Fremont, are in the middle of a great mission: God has called us into a full congregational merger with Niles Congregational Church.

For over a year, we have been worshiping and working together as one congregation. We have confronted and met many challenges along the way, and have discovered our mutually shared vision of what a church is to be doing today. We’ve also learned to love and trust each other very much.

Here is our draft mission statement that serves as a marker for the new congregation:

Our mission is to be a community based on Jesus’ message of love where all people can worship, grow spiritually, learn, and be welcomed and respected. Our goal is to transform our progressive Christian faith into loving actions that will include our neighbors, near and far. Our lives depend on our abiding faith in the all-inclusive love of God through Christ, and our commitment is to share this faith journey with others.
