Holy Week, March 28 – April 4, 2010

            The most holy week of the church year begins on Palm Sunday, which is March 28 this year (2010). The Palm Sunday service that day (at 10:30) will include a procession of the Palms and the choir presenting a special Holy Week Cantata. This worship service will be (as are all of our worship services through May 2) at First Christian Church, 36600 Niles Blvd, Fremont.

            On Maundy Thursday, April 1, members and friends of our two congregations and three other Fremont congregations will gather for a 7:30 p.m. worship service at the Filipino-American United Church of Christ, 4587 Peralta Blvd., Fremont, to commemorate the institution of the Last Supper.

            These same congregations will gather at 7:30 p.m. for worship on Good Friday, April 2, at First Christian Church, 36600 Niles Blvd., Fremont, as we remember the passion of Jesus as told by Luke.

            Our congregations will gather to celebrate the resurrection on Easter Sunday, April 4, at 10:30. This worship service will, of course, also be at First Christian Church, 36600 Niles Blvd, Fremont.

            Make a point of being at these worship services so you can fully engage in this holiest of weeks.
