Youth Group Meetings

We're approaching youth group a little differently this year than we have in previous years. We will primarily focus on our Sunday School program and Confirmation Class (see the other column on this page). Youth (middle school through high school) can also create a time to hang out with Pastor Jeff to talk about life to explore a theme, like commitment, character, confusion, or Christ. In fact, he'll happily treat the youth to a beverage at a local Starbucks while they talk. The youth are responsible for creating this; they need to get a few of them together and to arrange a time with Pastor Jeff.

Also, older youth (those you've already been in Confirmation Class) are invited to participate in some of the classes and activities in the Confirmation Class. They should speak to Pastor Jeff about this if they are interested.

Because Pastor Jeff is proposing that he take youth to a local Starbucks, we ask that each youth have a signed and completed permission slip to participate in this activity.  The permission slip is good for the year.

Confirmation Class

The purpose of the Confirmation Class is to provide information and experiences to enable our youth to make a faith commitment, to claim their baptism as their own and Jesus as their Lord. We never know what choices the youth will make at the end of the class, but we believe the class will enable them to make an informed commitment if they feel called by God to do so. The class is taught every few years and is for 8th graders and older.

Pastor Jeff Spencer is teaching a class this school year. Here is this year's schedule.

If you are interested in learning more about Confirmation Class or are interested in participating in the class, please let Pastor Jeff know.
